Challenge Running is the act of placing restrictions on yourself as you play through Paper Mario to increase the difficulty of the game. In contrast to speedrunning, where some restrictions can be placed, players are encouraged to take as much time to prepare to complete the challenge and optional bosses such as The Master and [[Kent C. Koopa] are generally required as part of a challenge run.
